Volunteers

Our Volunteers are an integral part of the team, and provide telephone, email and face-to-face support to over 600 Carers, as well as working alongside staff in the office and through outreach, fundraising and other opportunities.

In November 2010 we were very proud to be awarded 'Investing in Volunteers' status - the UK quality standard for organisations that involve volunteers in their work. Of local voluntary organisations, Carers Link has one of the largest volunteer teams, and we are the first in East Dunbartonshire to receive this award.  Sharon, our Peer Co-ordinator in charge of Volunteering, is understandably delighted about IiV recognition:

“I wanted to achieve the Investing in Volunteers award for Carers Link to show that we are totally committed to providing the best possible support and quality opportunities to people who want to volunteer with us.”
